STOKED was initially brought together by the Tyrone Watkins production “Spotlight” in 2009, following an extensive audition
process and a 6 month season. The virtuoso and energetic blending of tightly crafted songs, floor-shaking rhythms, and
unmistakable harmonies left their audiences amazed.

The public fell in love with these five handsome men, singing and dancing their hearts out, transforming some of the great songs
of the popular canon with outstanding vocal skills.

Bjorn Blignaut

Hailing from Gauteng, Bjorn was born and raised in Johannesburg, Eldorado Park September 1980. At the age of 17, Bjorn then started a singing group with his friends and called themselves, Boys to Men, adapted from the USA group. At this age he then entered the local television competition called Jam Alley and took the first place position, this was to lead to future successes. This then followed the success of winning the South African Pop stars SABC 1 competition and was part of the winning group called Ghetto Lingo.
